PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSES

COURSE TITLE       PE I

DURATION 1st & 2nd semester

COURSE DESCRIPTION This yearlong course will include a variety of lifetime sports and leisure activities, with some team sports (hockey, lacrosse). Activities include canoeing, tennis, golf, swimming, badminton, Physical Fitness Test, table tennis, pickle ball, archery, handball and basic weight training.

RECOMMENDED GRADE LEVEL 9 – 10 – 11 - 12
PRE-REQUISITE None
CREDITS 10
DURATION 1st & 2nd semester

COURSE DESCRIPTION This yearlong course will include weight lifting, aerobics and conditioning . Participation in all activities on a daily basis is expected.

COURSE TITLE      Strength Training
RECOMMENDED GRADE LEVEL 9 – 10 – 11 - 12
PRE-REQUISITE Some experience suggested
CREDITS 6
DURATION 1st & 2nd semester

COURSE DESCRIPTION Meets two times per week as arranged by the instructor. Strength training of all major muscle groups, includes reinforcement of proper technique, extensive stretching and flexibility regimen, anaerobic workouts, and regular measurement of strength gains.
